So there I am: sitting on a bus, riding along a foreign road from Santiago to Valparaiso. I'm staring out the window at the unfamiliar scenery and thinking how nice it will be to get to Vina del Mar, meet my host mom, and unpack all my things. Finally, I will have a space where I belong. An area of my life where I am in control and comfortable. All of a sudden the verse about Jesus preparing a place for us came to mind. How great is it that Jesus is welcoming us into heaven that way?! Not only is he letting us in, but He is paying special attention to make us feel welcome and let us know we belong there. I never realized the significance of this gesture until now.
Rach, I'm enjoying the bog and your adjusting process. Your feelings about being in a foreign land are fitting - thanks for all the notes awaiting us when we returned! May God continue to bless you. GC TAXI
