gracias a Dios

So there have def been some things already that I´ve been so thankful to God about. Allow me to share them with you :)

Firstly, day one in the airport when we were sitting there waiting for seis horas I met a guy who had also gone to the Passion conferenct thing that I was able to go to in January. I learned a lot about God and my relationship with Him at Passion so just making that connection was a little gift from Him. It was as if He was saying to me, ``see Rachel? I´m here too``

Secondly, my roomie/housemate, Ariana, has been such an encouragement to me. She seriously reads her Bible in all her free time and is constantly quoting scripture and thinking about God. She hasn´t known God for very long but her relationship with Him is what I want mine to be more like.

Third, one of the things I was worried about would be my ability to express myself (particularly my humorous side) in Spanish. I was nervous because I know a lot of the humor I use in English wouldn´t translate to Spanish. But my host mother has already said many times that I´m funny and a jokester! Yayyyy! I feel like I´m able to express myself sufficiently, although it takes way longer in Spanish than it would in English..

So things are going well and I´m so thankful to God for looking out for and providing for me.
