mi familia chilena

So a lot of you back home have been asking about my host family. let me tell you about them :)

My host mom is Myriam. She's fantastic. She speaks slowly and clearly so we can understand her. Other students complain that their families speak too quickly, but not us! We have great conversations about just about anything you can imagine. She makes hand made painted crafts to be sold at her friends' artisian shop! She said she was going to teach us how :)

Ariana, my host sissy ;) She's also a student from the US (Maryland--DC area to be exact) studying abroad at the same school. She's also a part of Veritas (i think thats what it's called)--a missions program of sorts. She is such an encouragement to me in my relationship with Christ.

Rami!! I know you're reading this, hermanito, so I'll be nice. He's my host brother, son of Myriam. He's lots of fun...we pick on each other like normal brothers and sisters. He goes to school in Santiago though, so we'll only be seeing him once a month when he comes to visit :/

Diego :) es un "hippie" he's super nice and loves music. He lives in the north of Chile, goes to school at Catolica, and rents a room from Myriam. He's teaching me how to play guitar!! he has a lot of patience because, as Rami says...i'm a bad student. also, his English is better than my Spanish.

So this is my family :) I love them all. I never want to leave.
