hahahahhaa. Seriously. They eat SOOOO much bread. I love it.
But really, God keeps bringing this verse to my mind when I wonder how I'm surviving on six hours of sleep a night and way less food than I was ever accustomed to eating in the US. He's showing me that He can sustain me. And more importantly, He's reminding me how important His Word is. It is just like food for our souls, maybe even more important. Somehow I've grown up being told about the Bible and thinking that because I already knew the stories and life lessons, I didn't have to read it any more. FALSE. It is living and active. It is one of God's direct lines to us and to not use that severely damages our Spiritual walk. And what other kind of walk is there? Everything under the sun is vanity. Just read Ecclesiastes if you don't believe me. Our focus needs to be on things above the sun. Godly things. The lack of things I used to consider essential is a constant reminder to me of what is actually essential in life.
