nothing-but-fun day

I wish I could make today a day for nothing but fun. Steven would stay home from work. I would stay home from class. We would both go to Lottie but not have to drive there or pay to get in. Maybe I would bake, maybe we would watch some episodes of The Office, maybe we would go on a long hike, maybe we would read childish books aloud, maybe we would make art, maybe we would nap in a hammock, maybe we would go for a long bike ride, maybe we would take a million pictures. We would laugh a lot. We would smile one smile all day long. It would be the biggest smile. The weather is perfect for a nothing-but-fun day – it is quite warm in the sun but quite cool in the shade and there is a breeze.

Alas there is life to be lived which means jobs to be done and educational things to be learned. I must attempt to turn the mundane into nothing but fun.
