What we've been up to

Other than the usual work (for Steven) and school/internship (for Rachel), this is what we've been up to:

1. Getting free food from banquets. Morning Star Pregnancy Services banquet and Messiah College Legacy dinner all in one week! I don't particularly like getting all dressed up, but I like it when Steven does. :)

2. Enjoying spring. We walked around Messiah Village (apparently they changed their name to Messiah Lifeways but I'm not ready to make the switch yet) with the sisters (that makes them sound like nuns. They are not.) to enjoy all the blossoming flowers and trees.

3. Hanging out with friends. We love hanging out with the Davis Duo. I call them that because we don't know how to spell the plural (non-possessive) of their last name. So I avoid it. Anyways. Every couple should have friends that are as good as these friends are to us. Besides coming up with the funnest double-date ideas for us, sending us home with water bottles when our water pump stopped working, and trying to get me a job (we have yet to see if it that works out...!), they are open and honest with us about their marriage - the highs and the lows, the parenting struggles and joys. And they give us a safe place for us to talk about our marriage too. We love you Davises's. :p

4. Winning trophies. We like bling. We like hanging out with Thrivers (what we call the youth from our church's youth group) even more! They're awesome. This picture is from the Quiz tournament last weekend. We took 2nd place. If you don't know what Bible Quizzing is, you should look it up. Steven and I love coaching the JV team. We also enjoy spending time with these punks on Wednesday nights (punk is short for punkin': a term of endearment) when we get to teach them what God has taught us. And since that's not enough, we ALSO do Bible studies on Thursday (for girls) and Monday (for boys) nights. We can't get enough of these kids.

Other than that, the biggest thing coming up is GRADUATION! My last final is only 26 days away. The ceremony is on May 18th. If you're reading this and it's good weather on the 18th, you should come! Messiah College. Starry Athletic Complex. 10am. I'll be one of the ones in a hat & dress.
