Update: yesterday, today, and tomorrow

It snowed this morning! Only for 20 minutes, but that's what made it so glorious. It didn't get in anybody's way, it just made the world beautiful while I ate my grapefruit and raisin bran (yay, fiber!).

Yesterday I was Super Woman. Prepare to be impressed.

- worked at the Coffee Shop for 3 hours
- moved my dresser into our 'new' bedroom
- arranged desk, bookshelf, and area rug
- washed a load of baby things (they're still sitting in the dryer. oops!)
- arranged crib, changing table, dresser, rocking chair, and area rug in baby's room
- put away all the gifts we got at the baby shower (she has more clothes than I do).
- swept the kitchen and living room floors
- made homemade bread and lasagna soup
- made Tuesday's dinner in advance
- went grocery shopping
- washed the dishes

The baby's room: finished product. Don't mind all the bedding stuff stuffed in the crib...
and I even had time for a one hour nap! What a great day. Yes, my back was aching by the end of it. I was rewarded with Turkey Hill's Mint Choco Chip ice cream (only the best flavor ever!) and an evening spent sitting on the couch with my love in front of our infrared heater (you should get one, they're awesome).

Happy Husband at dinner :)

Today I get to rest all day in my comfy office chair at the pregnancy center. It must be too cold for the clients to come out because nobody has been showing up! What a perfect day for the boss to visit my site...

Tomorrow I have my glucose screening test so that they can tell me that I don't have gestational diabetes. I wonder if I'm allowed to refuse this test? I should be more bold when handling my health care.

On an unrelated note: this woke us up in the middle of the night. Thank you, dear bed, for the reminder that I'm getting fatter.

This thought doesn't really fit in anywhere, but since this is just a hodgepodge of what's been going on, I'll include it-- Yesterday was Veteran's day. I felt completely awkward for the 3 hours I was interacting with the general public. What was I, a pacifist, supposed to say to the guy who buys a medium coffee every morning when he told me about his 20 years of military service? Thanks for killing people. Sorry you were deceived into thinking you were keeping me safe while endangering the lives of many other innocent people. Kudos for being so self-sacrificing...and enjoying all those great benefits now that you're retired. I don't mean to be ungrateful, rude, or offensive. I just really struggle to appreciate what it is they think they were doing when I have such a different view of what they were actually doing.

    1. Ask me at the end of the week if I've done anything else all week. The answer will most likely be no ;)
