Snuggle Day

Since I like to post about my productive days, I decided it's only fair to also post about my not so productive days.

Today I folded a skirt and a sock. that's right, just one. And no, I don't keep my skirts in a drawer so that'll be getting unfolded.

I also learned something about myself today: I can wash dishes while holding a baby. Of course I did end up with a back ache and a soaked shirt - a small price to pay for a clean counter top and a check on my list.

My biggest achievement of the day is a tie between getting a shower and eating half a sandwich. Leave-in conditioner is already a thing, right? Pretty sure a mom invented it. If she hadn't, today I would have. And then that would be my biggest achievement of the day.

Sometimes your daughter is going to cry at the drop of a hat all day long. A stroll around the block, The Beatles, and all her favorite toys are no match for Mommy's snuggles - she won't be shy about letting you know it, either. So you'll snuggle her. You'll let your dishes get crusty, clothes get wrinkly, and corners get dusty. Because all the housework will always be there, but your daughter won't be.

"please! please just pick me up!"

Yes, I typed this one-handed while holding my sweet, sad, sleeping girl with the other.
