Last week we were busy biting our fingernails and using every other distraction tactic we could think up to get ourselves through the day while we waited for our Realtor to let us know if our offer was accepted. It was not. With each house we're interested in, we get a little bit further down the road to home ownership. This was the first time we actually signed any papers. 13 papers, to be exact. We joked that actually submitting an offer AND having the offer accepted would be two steps down the road to home ownership and since we haven't been able to manage that before, we figured we probably wouldn't this time either. We were right. What.A.Sellers.Market. Oy.
We saw a house today for the second time and decided it's a no-go. One step forward, one step back. Our poor Realtor has been touring Dillsburg and Mechanicsburg with us for the past 3 years. This year we're a little bit more serious about actually buying something. We'll see if that helps anything.
Oh, I'M SORRY, this is supposed to be Foto Friday, not HGTV's House Hunters
Here's what you're looking for (two weeks worth, por supuesto):
My job security. If she helps me fold the laundry, she's bound to spit up on some - thus keeping me in business. |
That one time we decided to be "cool parents" and camp out in a tent in our living room. Nobody slept. And we had company the whole next day. It took us 3 days to recover. Learn from us and plan your "cool parenting" stunts a little better. |

best friend babies of best friends <3 <3 |
I got a ball! |
That. face. though. |
Her newest favorite thing is sticking out her tongue. It's my newest favorite thing too. |
I can't stop laughing at this picture. #seriousface #drool |
shadow family |
I meant for the flower to be in focus, but, you know, her hair is nice too. |
Sorry babe, I just had to include this. We love our neighborhood walks and rarely pull out our phones. |
Missed the focus again, but she reminds me of that meme baby! |
on the run! |
Seriously love my too-adorable-for-their-own-good family. And we decided if we move, one of the things we'll miss most is walking this neighborhood. |
When you see a Jawa, you pet a Jawa and sit on its lap (Star Wars murder mystery event that we were lucky enough to get ourselves invited to even though I can't tell the difference between Star Wars and Star Trek!) |
I don't know if I've ever seen such a bright, full, double rainbow!
"You look so whimsical, can I take your picture?" "No." "Too bad, I just did." |
I made the mistake of letting her watch her baby videos. Her favorite one is the one where she's laying on the floor throwing a fit and I beg her to crawl over to me but she refuses. She's been re-enacting it quite a bit. |
Dads are the funnest |
We live at the bottom of a beautiful little mountain |
First thing she does in the morning is hug her baby. |
starting to fight back? |
Big sister is hilarious. |
The bellies in this picture! |
E did not approve of her belly sticking out. #modestishottest |
L is a goof. |
Another thing I will miss about this house is this view while I wash dishes. E asks to go out and sit on "my step" daily. |
This kid! She has gotten stuck in the strangest of positions this week but never once has she cried or fussed about it! |
