Foto Friday!

Hello Friends!
It's been a long time! A lot has changed! We're in our new house and loving it. Husband and I have bets on how long it will take our oldest to stop calling it "new" and just call it "home."
Here are the pics from the past 3 weeks:

Daddy has been wanting car washing equipment for well over a year. We finally broke down and got some near enough to Father's Day to consider it a Father's Day gift in my book.

We took a break from packing and used a plastic tub as a poor-man's swimming pool on a hot day

Since Littlest is a strong sitter-upper now, she gets the pleasure of bathing with her big sis - who loves loves loves to "mommy" her.

It's easier to keep both girls involved when we bake on the floor.
And blueberry muffins are 10x more fun in these precious (re-useable!!) bee wrapper/liner things from friends across the world!

So the morning after we bought a house, we woke up early to go paint said house all day. And we braved a fallen tree across the road, bridge out, and deer running into our car to get there. I was a little nervous about how the rest of the day would go, but it went great! Here's a pic of the deer's fur in our dent-free (thank you, Jesus!) van! Sadly, we didn't take any other pictures that day.

Auntie entertaining nieces so their mommy can pack pack pack! Thank you one thousand times!

Lovey sisters

This kid is 7 months old. She's so content that she doesn't care to learn how to crawl - which is fine with me. And she's also more of a fan of actual food than puree. Can't say I blame her.

This girl has never been a good traveler. But she made it the whole 5.5 hours to OH and back home without too much drama and with even less sleeping. She loved the tunnels and was entirely confused about the concept of going to "Ohio" as she kept asking for "another Ohio."

I love this picture.
My dearest grandparents conversing.
My daugher, the youngest of the five generations thoroughly enjoying her remembrance rose.
The casket that holds my grandpa's mother - the last of her generation in our family <3
(read what I wrote about her here)

empty moving truck!

empty bedroom - last night in the "old" house!
First sunrise in the new house! Also first sunrise we've ever seen in a house we've been living in since getting married.
Happy 4th! We needed a break from the hectic life so we stayed home, grilled a few burgers, and went to bed before the fireworks were done.

Typical Lucy. Also a great before picture of our terrible lawn.
Thank goodness for our in house professional who brought home some sod. It was quite a show to watch Daddy at work in our own back yard.

Following in Daddy's footsteps

Have I mentioned that we're loving our new space? When I'm done unpacking or doing something to avoid unpacking, I hope to get some better photos of our set up. And our perfect paint color.  <3 <3 I can't stop looking at the walls.
