Foto Friday!

It's Friday!
And we're on the road, heading for a weekend of applebutter-making on the family farm. <3
But I *shocker* had some extra time this week so I thought I'd post FF early.
While I'm writing this post, I'm listening to the sound of two babes napping.
I'm pretty sure I can count on one hand the number of times that I've stayed awake to hear this sound.
I know why I haven't been able to do it in the past, but man am I hoping to continue it in the future!
Also, you should see my kitchen. #soclean
And my bed is made. #whatintheworld #soproductive

But we all know you didn't come here to read words.
You came here to see pictures.
So pictures you shall see:

watching "football guys"

Washing dishes is quite the entertainment

We're finding lots of snail friends these cool, early mornings. I didn't realize that ants like to bite snails in the butt. #learnsomethingneweveryday

those curls, though

Our new shower curtain came this week! E is having fun learning where all of her buddies are. Guatemala is her current favorite. Malawi and South Africa will always be part of our family. She doesn't know anyone in Chile, but she knows Mommy loves it. Australia = Auntie Tay's. Ohio and Virginia are also frequently mentioned. Travel and new cultures and life abroad are important to us and we want to share that with our girls.

She's got the whole world in her hands.

We finally got to meet Aunt Lyssa's horse! Lucy was thrilled.

Yay for Auntie Lyssa and Taz!
Also, let's talk about how I've been reading up on how to actually use my SLR.
I tried some new settings - not remembering, of course, what the heck I was doing - and was successful at blurring out the background. But in this case, I'm not sure I really wanted it blurred. Oh well. I'm learning. ish.

Don't let the picture fool you. She is not a gentle baby; she was smacking that cat.
Also pictured: The head of my first grandchild (E's baby)

SHE GOT TO RIDE A HORSE!!! so brave. so sweet. so fun.
Thanks, Auntie Lyssa!

I'm obsessed with that tuft of hair that sticks straight up

Got husband to take a picture of me so it doesn't look like he was a single dad.
