We got to chauffeur my grandparents to their sibling reunion in northern NY and stay in Niagra for a night! It was a fun little get away just the two of us. :)
Ellie asks me to read her all the pregnancy literature she can get her hands on. Therefore, she was very concerned that I would sit in the car too long and risk getting blood clots. She insisted that I keep this note with me.
1st stop under Dr. Ellie's orders: a scenic overlook. You'll be very impressed with my miserly self for actually putting a quarter in this machine! We saw a small plane take off in the valley below and chatted with some bird watchers who said there had been 700 eagles at that location just the other day! Unfortunately there were neither eagles nor bathrooms so we had to stop again just down the road.
Made it to Niagra, NY!
Took an Adventure Jet tour through the rapids below the falls! V fun. Approved for pregnant women and children ages 4+. I did get sea sick and had to use a vomit bag which was less humiliating than I thought it might be. 🤮
Miserly self would probably not pay to do this again despite the BOGO deal we got on tickets, but it was a fun experience we won't soon forget.
U.S. side - close up, but blocked view.
Steven's food truck dinner (I had tacos)
We walked across the Rainbow bridge to watch the sun come up in Canada :)
The Canadian side is much more beautiful!
When in Canada... (or NY...or PA...)
We thought Tim Hortons was a Canadian must do, but then we saw several of their coffee shops on our way home.
