We got rid of our play kitchen during a minimalist fit of rage last year, so now I have to let the kids play in the real kitchen. Does it stress me out and take 5 times longer than it would by myself? Yes.
But I loved "helping" my dad cook when I was a kid and I want my kids to feel comfortable in the kitchen when they no longer live in my house, so the extra stress is worth it.

Today's kitchen play:
First time making play dough!
As a mom of 6 years, I was maybe a bit overdue for this task.
It worked!
The girls are now making snacks for church (remember when that was a thing? ðŸ˜).
Oswald is taking turns smashing trucks and animals into his pile of mushy dough.
And I get a few minutes to myself. :)
