Dios ya sabia

God.already.knew.

He knew I was going to have a special love for Spanish language and culture. He knew I would major in Spanish. He knew Messiah College would require me to go abroad. He knew I would fall in love with Chile. He knew I would only stay for one semester--much to my dismay. He knew He had good things for me back in PA. (He knew I was a poet?!)

Good things in PA:

1) THRIVE. That is the name of the youth group at my church. I started helping out as a leader in the months I had at home before leaving for Chile. I was able to stay in contact with my kiddos while in Chile and have picked right back up where I left off. I love these kids. God loves these kids. I love showing them God's love. I love talking to them, advising them as best I can, and enjoying life with them. They even beat out college activities ;)

2) Coffee shop. This is still in the works, but probably at some point in the near future, my family will own the coffee shop I started working at three years ago. As the veteran worker (yes, I was the one who trained my dad when he started working there!), they'll need my expertise to keep it up and running. Exciting!

3) There's this guy... :) We're still so amazed at how God worked everything out. Neither of us could have planned it better. We talked a lot while I was away and started hanging out and continuing to talk as soon as I got back. I respect him a lot and love getting his perspective on basically anything. We have some of the best discussions about life and God and...again...basically anything. So now we're dating and figuring out how to glorify God better as a couple than we could as singles. I think I can speak for him and say we're both very happy :) All praise and gratitude to God, por supuesto.

He got me these flowers. Note the appropriate name on the tag: "Happy Returns." Because we are so happy I returned :) He's so clever and sweet.

Of course there are other great things about being back home...BEST FRIEND, family, college, etc. But the three I listed are three that I really feel were God's reasons for sending me home; the special things He had in store for me that I didn't anticipate. And now I feel so silly for putting up such a fuss! God proves his faithfulness yet again. Why do I not just FULLY trust Him the first time around?! Of course I still miss Chile a lot and probably always will. But I am completely content to be here now. I'm where God wants me and I wouldn't want to be anywhere else!
