Well we had a wonderful weekend in the Poconos with our Miller family. It was too short, but I prefer to leave hungry, not full. (That does not apply to buffets. Especially not pizza or Chinese buffets.)
My personal highlights include:
- My first perfect game of Up the River Down the River - a game you should learn if you don't know it already. Scoring a perfect game is kind of a big deal in this family.
- Some massive games of Dutch Blitz (in which my score was far from perfect).
|
The score ranged from -48 to 50. I won't tell you who those scores belonged to.
- Spending two nights on the most comfy mattress I've ever slept on - it's not hard to impress me seeing as how I'm still sleeping on the mattress I slept on when I was 5. Seriously though, it was so comfortable that I slept on my stomach and the baby didn't even mind! We checked the brand name so we could look into buying one: Beautyrest. Makes sense.

Sharon and Grandpa being precious. No, this picture has nothing to do with what I was or am about to talk about. It's just cute, okay?
- The girls' excitement at watching/feeling baby girl move around. I've joked previously about how to get people to stop rubbing your stomach. Now that I actually have a bit of a stomach and there's something to feel, I don't mind it so much. It was fun to be excited with them. This little girl is already so well loved. <3

Trying to get organized for a family photo in our matchy-matchy shirts. You can kinda see the baby bump.
- Having all my Miller family in the same place at the same time. They're great people. I haven't always considered family [vacations] to be fun, but these people definitely make it big fun. I thoroughly enjoy every minute I spend around them. December is going to be a sad, sad month without them. :(

Grandpa Seth reading some Darwin Awards to us.
Unfortunately those are the only 4 pictures I have to represent the whole weekend. Thank goodness there were more dedicated photographers around to document. I'm pretty sure having a really nice camera will fix my apathetic attitude toward documenting events. Totally.
Grandpa Seth...hahahaha! 'Twas a great weekend :)
ReplyDeleteSo happy to have you as part of our "Miller" family. You fit right in. G'pa was saying that Steven and Char set a high bar for the rest of the cousins to choose spouses that fit as well as you and Buck. ;) I agree!!! Love, Aunt D
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you agree that I fit right in because it would be award if I felt like I did but really didn't! haha. I really love this family and am so grateful to be part of it. And I agree with Grandpa - I've told Steven before that any other additions to the family better not mess up what we've got going ;)
