To the people who don't understand not waiting to be surprised on D-day, I say: You go ahead and wait.
Me? I need help narrowing down names. I want time to plan. And I find that, amazingly enough, I start bonding with the little newb as soon as I can stop calling it an "it"!!
So last night we found out whether E will have a little brother or sister.
And so begins #2's life under the shadow of E.
Don't worry. Mommy and Daddy are #2s as well. But I doubt it'll make us much more sympathetic to your situation. Thank you in advance for your patience and low-maintenance personality that allows us to keep giving most of our attention to your big sister.
Even though we kept referring to him or her as E's little sibling, it was nice to give this poor child some attention. We've barely talked about or planned for this new member of the family.
I apologize to those of you who read about the possibility of twins and still haven't heard yea or nay.
As the horse says, "nay."
Although I was becoming attached to the idea of two for the price of one, I'm too busy being happy that I don't have to buy another car seat or nurse two babies at once to be sad about it.
Back to the gender reveal.
I came across a few articles about why gender reveals are the worst idea ever.
These are clearly grumpy people.
I think they're a great idea.
For our first we used cupcakes (a decidedly delicious decision).
For our second, we used balloons.
Stay tuned for our third, in which I plan to use silly string (but give me a few years before we go there, please).
And without further ado...

| For those of you who wonder how Husband feels about another girl in the house: He's thrilled. And he wouldn't dare say otherwise. |
If pink balloons represent little sisters, our girls are going to be best friends <3

So exciting! When are you due officially?
