Foto Friday!

I'm trying to get back into actually writing posts, not just Foto Friday.

It's not going well.

I start a post, get interupted by a small child, go back to the post, decide it's too wordy, too unorganized, too boring, and start completely over. more interuptions. I give up until nap time. At nap time, I decide to nap too. 

But Foto Friday has waited long enough!

and it's much easier to come back to after getting interrupted.

Right now one kid is feeding the other (who is feeding whom, I won't say) so I figure I've got about seven minutes to upload a few pics from the last few weeks.

I'm seeing fewer of these because we're all learning to sleep in a little later. Minus husband who sets his alarm to get up and be productive. When I grow up, I want to be like him. :p

Hung this hand-made wreath from a crafty sister-in-law and snagged a pic of our beauteous front door before the glass-oven melted the command strip and dropped the wreath to the ground.

Stocking up on supplies for our long list of house projects! I remember many a Home Depot trip with my parents when I was a Little. I'm sure my parents remember it differently, but I remember having fun and enjoying all the things there are to look at. Hopefully these two have similarly fond memories. They did a great job having patience with parents who were overwhelmed by all the options.

First project: Putting in the new screen door to eliminate the glass-oven and increase the breeze.

Couldn't let Husband be the only one getting projects done around the house...

...so we did a painting project and surprised him when he came home from work.

I love this space in their room.
for spying on our neighbors. 

We went out for a date and didn't spend a cent. Best.

Next project: Installing a ceiling fan in the girls' room. Husband talks through tricky electrical stuff while I pretend to understand and help problem-solve.

He was frustrated by how long it took, but I was just so proud he got it done. And all by himself! plus Google.

Success! Isn't it amazing?

Our lawn was literally knee high. If you are a small child.
After realizing that our neighbors got their grass mowed , but ours was skipped...
Me: If they don't come back tomorrow, I'm complaining.
Husband: Don't complain about landscapers. That's my new life motto.

"I'm arting!"

"I'm gonna be a painter!"

The "mower guys" came :)

Daddy discovered we can write on our fridge!
It's ridiculous how much these sweet notes made our day.
side note: that sticker chart is really working to decrease the amount of whining in this house!

I don't think she finds her pincer fingers as amusing as I do.
