Adventures in San Antonio: Week 1

Ethical question: What do you do when a strange dog adopts you and follows you on your way "home"?

If it were a cat, I'd know what to do - walk a little closer to the road! Sorry, Cat Lovers (not sorry).

This pretty lady was very well trained when it came to "sit" but "go home" did not seem to register. She had a collar, but no tags.

Does the answer change if it's nap time? What if it's nap time and you've missed nap time the past 3 days? If you're not a mom, allow me to fill you in on what happens when you skip a nap or nap too early or too late - you have to go to bed earlier to make up for it, which means you will wake up earlier because of it, which means you will be grumpy the next day and ready for your nap too early which means you'll probably miss it again and the cycle will continue on and on and on for way too long resulting in a grumpy family.

Well I suppose the family that lost their dog is probably grumpy too, so the least I could do was to take her back to the park where she found us and knock on a few doors. It was a little awkward when she ran off before the neighbors opened their door, leaving me standing there describing an invisible dog. The neighbors had seen her before, but didn't know where she belonged. So naturally, we scurried away before she could find us again - which I feel a little bit bad about, but also dogs have good homing devices, right?

Other adventures we've had this week:

A super cute Lucy in a super lame library (mega blocks are the only toy/activity they have!) that was a super long walk away.

Working on our duck waddles. Not pictured: running for cover as the ducks fly inches above our heads. duck ponds + playgrounds are kind of genius and kind of the worst combination ever.

Standing in "our" front yard watching the bus parade across the street. <3

My first experience with InstaCart. This was not all of it. Yes, I tipped my shopper. I actually really love grocery shopping, but still appreciated having food "magically" appear. Especially because we don't have our own means of transportation while the "guys" are working.
