I am learning so many new things about God and myself and religion. It is invigorating. And maddening. I am uncovering so many areas in which people have used God to hurt each other. It feels like a tangled up ball of yarn in my head right now - very difficult to express. But here are some subjects I've been deep-diving into and some questions I'd like to write about in the future:
- Womanism
- Healing from purity culture, body positive
- Translation and interpretation of the Bible (I love using AI to study original language, cultural/historical context, and political influences of translation and interpretation of the Bible)
What if God made queer people very good? (spoiler alert, I'm 98% confident She did)
What if God celebrates when someone who gets out of an abusive marriage is able to remarry? (She does)
What if single-family homes and individualist society is ruining our mental health and breeding abuse?
Why does the church so often fight against instead of lead positive social change like scientific study, technological advancements, civil rights, equality, pride, etc.?
What if there is no eternal conscious torment? (I haven't dug into this one as much yet, but I expect to soon be 98% confident there isn't)
What if Jesus didn't have to die to save the world? 😯
What if God hates our American "worship" services?
What if God is in your gut?
What if God isn't angry at me? (They're not)
